We are currently looking for an Assessment Officer to work on the Economics stream of our Cash and Markets Unit in Ukraine.

IMPACT is seeking a candidate with a background in economics, who ideally has experience of applying this to a complex humanitarian setting. The overall goal of the Assessment Officer will be to ensure timely, detailed and relevant analysis of the economic situation across Ukraine. Under the supervision of the REACH Socioeconomic Senior Assessment Officer, the AO is responsible for leading staff to collect and analyse economic data, from existing REACH Research Cycles (including the Joint Market Monitoring Initiative, bi-weekly Humanitarian Situation Monitoring, Supply Chain analysis, and ad-hoc cash and market assessments) as well as Secondary Data Review of large amounts of existing Ukraine government and other NNGO and INGO assessment.

The Cash and Markets Unit regularly engages with both internal and external assessment teams, technical agencies, and key analysis forums to identify information gaps and provide technical support as needed. The REACH AO will represent REACH findings to key external actors, including stakeholders in the humanitarian coordination system, as well as technical working groups and various NGO fora and information management groups. He/she will ensure the dissemination of REACH findings to the relevant stakeholders and monitor information needs of the humanitarian community.

The position is based in Ukraine, with the specific base to be discussed with the candidate. The position will require regular travel across Ukraine, all conducted in coordination with the ACTED Country Security Manager and Ukraine Country Security Team.
