La crisis en la vecina Siria ha provocado el desplazamiento de más de un millón de refugiados a Líbano. Con una política gubernamental que restringe el establecimiento de campos de refugiados formales, las poblaciones desplazadas han fijado su residencia en más de 1.700 comunidades de acogida. Como el conflicto sirio continúa, el desplazamiento se ha prolongado y sigue ejerciendo una presión significativa sobre los servicios básicos e intensificando la competencia por el acceso a viviendas asequibles y oportunidades de subsistencia.
IMPACT started working in Lebanon through its REACH initiative in May 2013. Since then, REACH has implemented a range of data collection and analysis interventions to facilitate evidence-based humanitarian planning at strategic and operational levels. In 2018, IMPACT also partnered with ACTED and Cités Unies France to implement a pilot AGORA project to support humanitarian actors and municipal authorities with area-based planning in the city of Saida.
