Data collected on 9 March shows that the displaced population is highly vulnerable, and many basic humanitarian needs are unmet. Living conditions of new arrivals remain dire too. REACH continues to inform the world, and humanitarian actors, on the evolution of the situation of displaced families in NW Syria.
REACH closely monitored and triangulated key findings from various assessments conducted in the Idleb and Aleppo governorates to provide comprehensive, timely and reliable evidence on the humanitarian situation of the 950,000 displaced persons on the ground. The overview highlights a clear and urgent need to scale-up operations in the region.
To respond to the unbearable situation of the 900,000 people who have fled their homes from conflict and violence in Northwest Syria, REACH has activated the Emergency Needs Tracking (ENT) system to assess and monitor the vital needs of extremely vulnerable communities.
