In 2023, the global humanitarian landscape faced unprecedented challenges as the funding gap widened amidst escalating needs. A trend which continues to test the sectors’ ability to respond effectively to crises worldwide. It is at such a juncture that IMPACT’s work becomes most urgent. As Luca Pupulin, IMPACT Initiatives Chief Executive Officer, notes:

“Through our growing capability to deliver actionable evidence where it is most needed—including in hard-to-reach areas—we play an increasingly crucial role in supporting international solidarity mechanisms to prioritize the most vulnerable. As questions arise about the international solidarity system and its humanitarian architecture, our responsibility to contribute to the evidence base that supports it has never been greater.”

In 2023, IMPACT conducted nearly 600,000 interviews and published over 1,500 information products to inform decision-making processes to prioritize aid where it is most needed. Our annual report is now available in both printable PDF and digital formats, highlights this extensive work across the 34 countries where we operate.
