IRQ_IDP_Khazir_Conceptual_Site_Plan_17June2014REACH is providing support for the relief response to the current displacement crisis in Iraq through site mapping, analysis and planning for IDP settlements.  REACH has developed a plan for Khazir camp near Khabat to accommodate some 6,000 displaced persons.  Building on modules REACH developed for refugee camps in the Kurdish Region of Iraq (KRI), the plan for Khazir camp is based on a flexible community block design that allows for an incremental approach to facility provision over time while meeting UNHCR and SPHERE standards.
