IMPACT Initiatives is pleased to announce the launch of its first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC),
Best Practices for Applied Quantitative Research in Complex Contexts.
Best Practices for Applied Quantitative Research in Complex Contexts.
Developed using insights from over a decade of field research in more than 30 humanitarian crisis contexts, the MOOC aims to strengthen the capacity of humanitarians — as well as students and professionals interested in this field — to plan and conduct quantitative primary data collection in challenging operational environments.
The course focuses on the practical realities of implementing research in complex settings. Through scenario-based learning, real life case studies, and short video lectures, participants explore best practices in research design, sampling, enumerator training, piloting, and data cleaning. Crosscutting lessons learned from field implementation further help learners troubleshoot common bottlenecks and adapt methodologies to real world constraints.
➤ The MOOC is free, fully asynchronous, and accessible globally. Learners will receive a certificate upon completion.
